Our multi-purpose, unscented, and biodegradable tinted lip balm is delicately handcrafted using nourishing ingredients to repair and hydrate chapped lips, while also offering beautiful buildable color. The best thing about this lip balm is that a small amount goes a long way, AND it can be used as a cheek stain and as eyeshadow. Gotta love multipurpose!

Note: We handcraft our lip balm in small batches of 25, and each batch may vary slightly in color. They will always turn out red, but may vary in intensity.

Ingredients: local beeswax, organic coconut oil, organic jojoba oil, organic cocoa powder, red iron oxide powder

Ingredient benefits:

beeswax: natural emulsifier, locks in moisture, healing, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, soothes eczema and rosacea

coconut oil: moisturizing, anti-inflammatory, healing, antimicrobial, gentle on sensitive skin

jojoba oil: anti-inflammatory, rich in vitamins and minerals, ultra-moisturizing, gentle on sensitive skin, soothes eczema and rosacea

cocoa powder: natural color to balance red-orange tone of iron oxide into a deeper red

  • Our goal is to provide a zero-waste alternative to typical store-bought plastic lip stick for those who are looking for a sustainable alternative and don't have the time or resources to make their own DIY products. We use compostable labels made from all-natural and unbleached sugar cane paper with naturally occurring fibers made with compostable adhesive that is vegan and tree-free!

Our lip balm tubes are also 100% biodegradable and we proudly source them from a small and local business in Minnesota. They are made of cardvoard and lined with wax paper in the inside. Note that these tubes are bigger than conventional lip balm tubes. We could size down, but then you would need to use a pencil or a thin object to push up the bottom disk for more lip balm, as you run out. We use this size for the convenience of being able to use you finger to push up the disk at the bottom of the tube.

How to Use: Push the disk at the bottom of the tube gently for more balm.

    Ounces: 0.3 oz

    Sizing: approx. 2.75" x 0.75"

Care: Keep in a cool, dry place and out of direct sunlight.

  • Why Beeswax?

You may be curious to understand our reasoning behind the use of beeswax in our lip balms, considering we talk frequently about our plant-based lifestyles. Bees are an essential part of our ecosystem because they help pollinate the many fruit and vegetable crops we eat today. Unfortunately, bees have entered the endangered species list because of unsustainable bee farming, modern urbanization and pesticide use. Because of this, it's so important to support sustainable and ethical bee farming that focuses on the growth of bee populations in urban landscapes, healthy hives, and flourishing colonies.

That's why we source our beeswax from a family-owned, Minnesota-based beekeeping farm called Bar Bell Ranch that is helping maintain existing bee populations and supporting the local environment and economy. They value sustainable bee keeping practices and help keep the bees healthy and happy and do not use pesticides.

We are happy to support such a company that values the importance of the bee population and health as much as we do. Because no bees, equals no us.
