Hello lovely readers!
So we recently tried Who Gives A Crap toilet paper and we're writing a review of our personal experience with their toilet paper to tell you guys all about it!
When Who Gives A Crap reached out to us we were immediately intrigued. They're probably the world's most delightful toilet paper brand, for a number of reasons, but we'll get into that later.
First, let's talk about delivery.
Our box of Who Gives A Crap got delivered straight to our door. No need to go out to the store and shove the thing in your trunk. It came in a cardboard box and was 100% plastic free!! When we first cracked the thing open, our mom was surprised at how cute the rolls were. Definitely a one-of-a-kind toilet paper brand. Our brother also decided to stop by a steal a few.
Each toilet paper roll is individually wrapped in its own cute little paper wrapper. There are 5 different wrapper designs and they are adorable.
Currently, we store our toilet paper in our closet right next to the bathroom, so it's conveniently nearby next time we need a new role, which is actually not that often. One of these rolls lasts our family of three (us and our mom) about three days minimum which is amazing if you compare it to other toilet paper rolls that disappear almost immediately.
When compared to other brands, Who Gives A Crap seems like it should be more expensive. It's better quality than others we've tried like Seventh Generation and Scotts, because it lasts longer, it's environmentally friendly and is just cuter. Not to mention that there are 400 sheets per roll, is triple ply, has no inks, dyes or scents, and is 100% recycled paper. Each roll costs $1, so for a box of 48 rolls that’s 25 cents per sheet! Not bad considering how long these babies last and their low impact on the environment and help toward deforestation. Perfect for zero-wasters!
Who Gives A Crap also gives 50% of profits to help build toilets for the 2.3 billion people living without one, which is insane considering most companies stick to the safe 1% of donations from profit. Not to mention they are tree lovers. Tree-free teepee!
Also, this picture from their Impact page gives me life.
Each roll is also soft and slightly textured for easy clean! The cardboard roll inside is also a lot smaller than other brands that give you less toilet paper for a higher price.
A few days later I decided to empty the box and organize them in our laundry room, and when I got to the bottom of the box, I literally laughed out loud. Emergency rolls!
The box came with three of these little guys, great idea lol.
For those who may be wondering, the rolls are responsibly manufactured in China. And they also offer 100% bamboo toilet paper rolls. These are also a great sustainable option because bamboo is a rapidly renewable plant, but they’re slightly more expensive than the recycled paper toilet paper rolls.
If you are interested in living more sustainably, paper wrapped toilet paper is definitely a good starting point. Go get yourself some sustainable teepee and click here for 10% your first subscription!
